Running out of diskspace?
Use vmware-vdiskmanager.exe to expand your virtual disk at the command prompt:
vmware-vdiskmanager.exe -x 10Gb myDisk.vmdk

The second step you have to take is to repartition the disk. Using Partition Magic, gparted-livecd or another tool.
This shoud work, but didn’t for work out for me. Partition Magic couldn’t see the new disk size, so I wasn’t able to repartition the virtual drive.
I used VMware Converter instead. Very easily create a new Virtual Machine from the existing one, and choose a new disk size (or growing disk). Thank you VMware ! 🙂
